With an impressive panoramic view across Riga’s skyline and the towers of the Old Town, the new spacious office of BDO is located on the upper, 10th and 11th floors of the modern New Hanza office complex.
BDO is an international professional services network and one of Latvia’s leading companies in audit, tax, accounting, and financial advisory. In the design of their new office, KRASSKY has provided interior solutions, delivery of furniture and lighting. The collaboration included the complete furnishing of 60 workstations, large and small conference rooms, as well as selection of furniture for the reception area.
To date, the KRASSKY team has already demonstrated its expertise in office design, implementing projects that cover more than 9,500 m² in Europe and worldwide. The company often acts as the general contractor or provides full turn-key solutions. KRASSKY’s approach to office interiors is rooted in the belief that a workplace is both the public face of a company and the core of its corporate culture. With a focus on human-centered design, the team carries out careful functional audits and evaluates the latest technologies and innovations, creating comfortable, ergonomic, and sustainable work environments.
In the beginning of this collaboration and during discussions with the client, the KRASSKY team defined three main priorities: short time of project execution, ergonomic and comfortable solutions, and sustainability blended with timeless design. Since the office is regularly visited by clients and business partners, the interior also had to reflect the company's corporate image.
Given the specifics of the office sector, fast execution of the project was particularly important, because any delays could affect the company’s ability to provide uninterrupted services to clients. As the team includes lawyers, financial experts, analysts, and other specialists whose daily work primarily takes place by computers, special attention in the office layout was brought to employee comfort, ergonomics, and solutions that support focus and productivity. Interiors’ layout is dominated by clean lines and elegant simplicity. A neutral color palette creates a calm atmosphere, reducing distractions and encouraging concentration.
The interior concept of the new BDO office was created by smartly balancing modern classics with reserved minimalism. The main design direction was taken in favor of high-quality, sustainable materials and timeless furniture. In the large conference room, furniture by the Italian brand ICF and lighting by iGuzzini were selected. The small conference room features pieces from Spanish brand Andreu World and Swedish brand Johanson. The reception area is furnished with the Andreu World pieces and lighting from the German brand Lightnet. There is also a wireless Bluetooth control system from the Finnish brand Casambi installed.
