Established in 2010 this Danish design company marries tradition with innovation by reworking design icons from the past and creating future classics in collaboration with acclaimed contemporary designers like Jaime Hayon, Space Copenhagen, Sami Kallio, Anderssen & Voll among others. Paying homage to Denmark’s long-standing design heritage, &Tradition bridges old and new by creating furniture, lighting and interior accessories with timeless appeal that meet modern needs for function, comfort and beauty. Each collection combines craftsmanship with creativity and shapes carefully considered pieces with purpose and meaning.
&Tradition honours the old masters, who were avant-garde in their time and welcome new designers creating icons of tomorrow. From cult designs of 1930’s, Verner Panton’s norm-breaking Flowerpot lamp first produced in the late 1960s and Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen’s Mayor sofa – &Tradition’s proudly reissues mid-century classics. Some pieces like the Little Petra chair and some of the newly-added Hvidt & Mølgaard designs are retrieved from original sketches and produced on a large scale for the first time ever.
