Oluce

Founded in 1945 by Giuseppe Ostuni, Oluce is the oldest Italian design company in the illumination sector still in operation today.  It gives a unique production excellence which translates passionate aesthetic and technological research into the potential of light into actual form. Oluce's rich and multifaceted collection of lamps continues writing worlds’ design history until today.

Cult piece from the 1950’s – Agnoli or the 255/387 floor lamp by Tito Agnoli, is slender and slim but also extremely functional for domestic contexts. Brand owes its breakthrough to Joe and Gianni Colombo. Their revolutionary lamp The Spider – a single illuminating body that can be mounted anywhere thanks to its particular melamine joint is another icon.  In 1970, design guru Vico Magistretti  created many lamps that remain forever in the history of lighting design, but above all Atollo table lamp, the undisputed Oluce icon, exhibited in the most famous museums worldwide and still favourite among customers. The Atollo became a template, a graphic silhouette capable of suggesting the very concept of a lamp. The new era marked numerous successful collaborations with contemporary designers and their different light visions – Campana brothers, Nendo and others. Oluce collection offers table, floor, wall and ceiling, suspension and outdoor lamps.
